Movie Muse = Jane Eyre

"You can't give half a sacrifice, you must give all."

This girl must have been the sole heir to all the pain and suffering in the world. Is it fair to call this movie happy depressing and on a side note I must mention that I've never loved the look of grass so much than in Jane Eyre. Maybe it's the dark tone of this film that makes it pop but for some reason the earth glows like emerald candy. It's not all candy colored grass and giggles. This one's not a happy tale. If you've heard anything of the stories of the Bronte family you'll know that, but it is quite sweet and a grand journey through ruffled sleeves, mean old ladies and tall strong handsome gentlemen. One of which being the lovely Jamie Bell... he's not THAT tall, but it still counts.

Movie Muse = Where The Wild Things...

"Happiness isn't always the best way to be happy."

Ok, who remembers the drama of sorts that occurred when this movie came out? Raise your hand... because I do! Basically what had happen' was pre release advertisements and an overwhelming amount of excitement from the blog/indie world caused a pit of failure to form in most peoples stomach when they went to finally see Where the Wild things Are in 09. I predicted this! Honestly I did. There's something about too much artificial hype in a movie that can really ruin it for most people. Everyone was making tents and craft and craziness! (Which I secretly loved.) But the movie's plot was very much undercover and it was pretty apparent that people were becoming aggressively excited over a movie that they knew nothing about plot wise. This is a rant...sorry, but it's only because I LOVED this film when I saw it back then and still to this day am on the verge of tears every time I watch it. Point being, don't get too involved with the hype yall! (pimp walks out of the room)

Bread Gone Ginger

Happy December everybody!
It's official so nobody can yell at me for the themed posts about to come. First things first: food cravings. Shall we bake some cookies? And while we're at it let's give them faces so we can pretend they're shocked when we bite their heads off! :)

Movie Muse = The Craft

"Relax... it's only magic."

The Craft has always been a teenage angst favorite for me. It's a simple plot, high school outcasts get their deserved revenge on with some witchy wonders The funnest part about this movie though is Fairuza Balk playing crazy Nancy/playing herself/actual insanity. A year from now when Halloween rolls around again, remember this movie!

Neon Graveyard

Here's some great shots from the Neon Graveyard in Vegas. I found these photos a couple days ago and even though we're not visiting on my mini trip there I've got to share them. It's like Disneyland for bright sparkly things!
